Historical Overview

Santec was incorporated in 1985. At that time, the company was involved in the design, manufacture and rental of tubing bailer and down-hole tools. Portable rethreading, bucking units and steam cleaning units were added in the spring of 1986.

In an effort to offer comprehensive linked services, Santec has expanded to include a trucking division, consisting of Santec’s own fleet of picker trucks and winch tractors, and trucks from Total Transfer Services Ltd., a general freight company and general oilfield equipment hauler. Santec also offers fenced storage yards and warehousing facilities.

Santec's tubular division consists of portable rethreading and bucking units, tubing inspection units and portable tubing and drill pipe cleaning units. Santec Tool Services and our sister company, Total Tubular Services, provide a complete tubing management package including expediting, storage, inspection, repair and inventory tracking.

Santec has facilities in Lloydminster and Macklin. As part of our efforts to expand our services in order to meet the demands of our customers, Santec will soon offer sucker rod services. Complete sucker rod inspection and reconditioning services will soon be available in Lloydminster.

As part of this commitment, Santec has earned a Certificate of Recognition for being a service provider with an integrated safety program, and employs a full-time safety coordinator to oversee its operation.

Santec also employs full-time supervisors who help oversee and evaluate Santec employees and ensure that their quality of work meets our high standards throughout our organization.
